Go for gold: Everyday pieces to see you through the seasons
Let golden hour linger on with our four favourite autumnal style updates
Gold-loving-girls know balmy #goldenhour sunsets aren’t the only opportunity to glitter as we transition to the glow of autumn.
And as the temperature changes and we start layering up our outfits, jewellery – specifically gold jewellery – and the easy, everyday splashes that the world’s most precious metal offers, proves time and time again to be timeless through every season.
Here are our four favourite ways to glitter in gold as the cold draws in:
Hoop dreams:
There’s a reason the hoop is your first earring, it’s a classic style giving subtle attitude to anything you wear. Big or small, hoop earrings make a statement without being over the top and add an effortless sparkle that can be worn no matter the occasion—gym through to bar.
Our Better Hoop earrings aren’t only named so because they’re sustainably made, but along with being classic, contemporary and cool, these timeless designs have a better clip system to see you through everyday life with style and ease and are available in S, M and L sizing to suit any mood.
Go for gold: As much a fashion crutch as blue jeans and a white tee, pair your gold hoops with your favourite denim and a cosy knit this autumn.
Chain reaction:
Gold chunky chains are light-hearted when teamed with something simple like a black roll neck or a cosy sweater; and will add power to a little black dress in party season.
Make a bold statement and invest in our Big Chain Bracelet. With large links and double gold-plating, any outfit is rounded off with this timeless piece but it takes on a whole new twist when paired with the likes of our Rope and Minimalist gold bracelets.
Go for gold: Get playful and layer up your look for a full chain reaction. A stack around your wrist not only creates the most satisfying jingling sound, but perks up any outfit.
Put a (couple of) ring(s) on it!
Wearing more than one ring on a finger is a balancing act! Do they fit snugly on top of each other or do they add too much bulk? A simple gold band is a great starting point but better yet, opt for an already stacked multi-ring style that will do all the work for you.
Helping you to ‘strike gold’ when it comes to layering up your rings is our sleekly-set apart Through the Wire stack ring, an easy everyday piece with both rings resting in place thanks to its open design and adjustable size.
Go for gold: Through the Wire is a comfortable companion for everyday wear and although no other rings are needed, it doesn’t mean they’re not welcome! We like to pair ours with our Dotty Gold ring, edging up any outfit and as good as gold through every season.
Brass neck:
A gold pendant is an easy way to wear something meaningful like your initials, or your zodiac sign, close to your heart. Long, linear necklaces with pendants or charms work with a casual autumn uniform of a black roll neck, dark denim and black boots; while pendants embellished with precious stones add elegance to an evening look.
We get a real ‘gold rush’ just looking at our Temple necklace, a vintage inspired ‘must-have’ gold chain with oval shaped pendant, accented with a cool black Onyx. The choice of stone makes this piece that little bit edgier, working with everything from your fail-safe leather jacket through to an autumnal prairie dress.
Go for gold: The best thing about a gold pendant is that there’s no need to wear just one. For a dramatic yet directional look, pair with the Rope Gold and Wild Heart Choker – and double up the drama by teaming with our Temple Ring.
